        In depth

        Verdict

        Aahgowangowan, Yorke's Folly and Elisha are the three that catch the eye here and preference is for Aahgowangowan. Yorke's Folly is still a maiden but turned in an excellent performance last time at Beverley. Denied a clear run, he finished strongly to claim second and although that was a weak race he showed a significant improvement on recent form and can go close here. Elisha has her limitations but this is a weak race and her first run of the season in a claimer was encouraging, showing good pace before tiring in the closing stages. She will have come on for the run and can give a good account. For the selection however, we turn to Aahgowangowan. A winner at the track a year ago, he shaped well on his reappearance before a lack of fitness took its toll in the closing stages, although he kept on well to take third. He has won over the distance, and given the recent lack of form of the majority of his rivals, he seems to have been found a winning opportunity here. Aahgowangowan gets the vote.
