Another tough handicap for punters to unravel but CALAF is taking a drop in grade and that may be enough for him to get back on the winning trail, especially as Brian Ellison has used Connor Beasley's claim successfully recently. Eeny Mac landed a minor handicap at Beverley before an excellent run in a stronger race at Ripon and he can go well though an even bigger danger could present itself in Rhombus. He landed a minor race at Goodwood on his handicap debut and has performed with credit in better company subsequently. Any rain would greatly aid his cause while six-times winner San Cassiano is generally thereabouts at this sort of level and should get into the picture.
