Verdict
A high draw is usually an advantage in sprints here but this big field will probably split into two so we'll take a chance that stall five won't be too much of a handicap for SHOWBOATING. Alan McCabe's four-year-old certainly deserves a change of luck having proved most consistent this year, though his only victory in the last 12 months came on the Polytrack. Cypriot champion Ian Poullis take the ride today. Illustrious Prince will be a danger if in the same mood as when successful at Goodwood last month while Defence Council is slowly coming to hand. Breezolini, Nasharra and Cocktail Charlie are also worth a second look but Bonnie Charlie has become disappointing and Bunce may be in the handicapper's grip now.
