      Verdict

The older horses have plenty to do against the younger brigade, of whom three appear to boast strong credentials. Preening progressed pleasingly from her Leicester debut to land a Kempton maiden in late October in a manner indicating she'll eventually be suited by further despite her pedigree. A good run is expected but she may be undone by lack of a recent run in comparison to her main rivals. Martineo has shown decent ability on both starts and scored quite cosily at Wolverhampton over this trip and is sure to progress again. Nevertheless, he does have to concede 7lb to NEW GRADUATE (NAP) who ran a race replete with promise on debut over course and distance. Well clear of the third that day, he can take advantage of that major weight differential with the Haggas inmate.
