Verdict

Both of TRINITY LAKE’s runs this year have been on soft ground. He is much better suited by this quicker surface and only 3lb higher than when beating a similarly-sized field over the course and distance last September. Wind surgery appeared to bring about slight improvement in Ventura Rascal at Pontefract but Cliffcake was well beaten in his hat-trick bid off this mark at Nottingham in April. Tamaska has coped well with a steep rise up the weights, however, and the three-year-olds Manhattanville and Tarrabb have travelled up from Newmarket and Lambourn respectively for this.
