        Verdict

        Anything that Serena Brotherton rides in races of this nature is usually worth a second look but her mount Secret City finished behind a number of these in the race won by Poolstock over course and distance last week. The winner now has a penalty and it’s no certainty that blinkers will work a second time but the in-form Sugar Town is respected under Joanna Mason having beaten Tribesman, Teetotal and Poolstock at Redcar last month. GAELIC WIZARD is pretty consistent and, with the talented Emma Sayer taking over the reins, Karen Tutty’s charge is fancied to go close to adding to his course and distance victory in May carrying only a pound more.
