        Verdict

        Henley is penalised for winning at Beverley during the week and Lucky Beggar also carries 6lb extra after scoring at Wetherby recently. The latter had earlier finished just in front of Desert Ace at Musselburgh but Iain Jardine’s charge may reverse running on today’s better terms. FRUIT SALAD returned to action with a placed effort over track and trip a fortnight ago behind Excessable. James Bethell’s charge can race off the same mark today and may well be good enough. Swirral Edge beat the selection on soft ground here in August and would appreciate any further rain.
