    Verdict

Serena Brotherton generally has the pick of rides in these races but her mount, Mitchum, hasn't shown much since completing a hat-trick in the spring of last year. Rose Eclair is running well without quite managing to get there and is probably a pound or two too high at present and Gaelic Wizard beat her at Redcar earlier this month. The latter didn't run quite as well next time though has to be a threat but Searanger is plating class at best. Whipphound is a rare winner these days but can't go any lower in the ratings though a very tricky finale can go the way of the veteran INSOLENCEOFOFFICE, already a winner of 11 races, who was staying on over 5f at Carlisle and has the in-form Ella McCain in the saddle.
