In depth

Verdict

Richter Scale easily landed a maiden over the course and distance before finding little when favourite for a very strong conditions race at Musselburgh won by today's rival New Road Side. The latter has since run well for a long way in the Queen Mary at Royal Ascot and this is more her grade. LYDIA'S PLACE has completed a hat-trick on fast ground with her latest victory in a York nursery being particularly praiseworthy as her saddle slipped in the early stages. She's only been raised 3lb and can continue her winning run. Strands Of Silk has been highly tried since her debut victory and had little chance at Chester last time after bolting going down to the start.
