In depth

Verdict

Big Game Hunter would have found 2m1f too short at Limerick last time and had previously been running well over further in decent class events. Glenlo Abbey was beaten a very long way into second on his chasing bow and will need to improve massively to take a hand while Headford Flyer has been making too many mistakes and will need to brush up his jumping to get involved. Mr Pernickety was in the process of making a promising start over fences before unseating his rider but that may have affected him as he ran poorly on his next start. SHIFA, a winning bumper in France, took a little time to warm up for Willie Mullins but landed a maiden hurdle at Gowran last April and can make a successful start over fences.
