Butte Montana landed a maiden hurdle at Stratford last summer but has new connections though hasn't run since July. He makes his chasing debut but Optional Mix, a winner over timber at Clonmel in October, has had a couple of runs over fences which could prove invaluable. Quarry Lil was beaten a long way into third over the extended two miles here a month ago but wasn't stopping and she won't mind the longer trip. Yabo made a promising return from a long absence when runner-up at Fairyhouse but was beaten when falling at Tramore. She had a confidence-booster over timber last month and has to be respected. Explosive Boy showed potential over timber but looks more of a chasing type and was staying on over a trip too short on his debut over fences at Fairyhouse but the vote goes to GALON DE VAUZELLE, a winner over hurdles and between the flags who made a very encouraging chasing debut at Punchestown in January.
