In depth

Verdict

Island Oscar has had no luck so far over fences and is better than form figures suggest while Marlay Park progressed really well over timber earlier this year and looks a chaser in the making. Rattan hardly has a pedigree for chasing but he's done reasonably well over timber and could prove a decent prospect. He wasn't as good as RIVAGE D'OR over hurdles, however, and though the latter proved a disappointment on his chasing debut when a short-priced favourite he will have learnt from that and can make amends. Toon River hasn't been seen for a while but looks just the type to do well at this game while Start Me Up has a real chaser's pedigree and is one to keep an eye on as he makes his debut over the bigger obstacles.
