Verdict

Gordon Elliott has won this low-grade handicap for the past two seasons and though Monition was well beaten in a Leopardstown handicap last time he'd shown potential on quicker ground earlier. County Kildare handler Michael Hanlon has sent DIGGIN DEEP (NAP) to the UK for his last three runs, scoring at Musselburgh and defying a 14lb rise to win again at Doncaster. His defeat at Newcastle came over a trip too short so he's clearly in very good heart and can go in again. Citizen Al won a Killarney maiden on good ground in May and has been running well enough in handicaps to put her in the picture while The Gatechecker, though better over fences, takes a drop in class and is 14lb lower over hurdles and has a 7lb claimer on board. Jack Fiasco hasn't been in the best of form but will enjoy the ground and trip.
