Verdict
Sutton Manor won a maiden at Wexford in November and has produced three very good runs over this trip in handicaps, though he's gone up in the weights without winning. Go It Alone was in tremendous form at this time a year ago and completed a double after which he shot up the ratings. He bounced back with a very good effort at Gowran and should have no problems with the longer trip as he's scored between the flags. VENITIEN DE MAI (NAP) has been racing in top handicaps over fences since completing a double last March. He can race off a 15lb lower mark over hurdles and looks to have been found a good opportunity. Kansas City Chief is another chaser on a very handy mark over timber and arrives in winning form having landed a Punchestown handicap over the bigger obstacles in December. He's 32lb lower over hurdles so has to be a major threat.
