Verdict

Union Park is running well, scoring at Clonmel before an even better run when a close second at Fairyhouse. He should be thereabouts though finished eleven lengths behind Brandy Harbour over the track and trip in December. The latter was completing a double that day and wasn't suited by very testing ground in his two later starts. ESPION DU CHENET (NAP) won this last year from just 1lb higher. He's been competing at a higher level subsequently and his rider's claim puts him on what looks a winnable mark. Clonbury Bridge hasn't really kicked on from scoring at Downpatrick in October.
