Verdict

Dewdrop cost 400,000gns and is a half-sister to the useful Ladys First. She's by Galileo out of a middle-distance mare and this will suit much more than the 6f she ran over at the Curragh. Jim Bolger's two-year-olds are in excellent form so the New Approach filly Glamorous Approach has to be considered along with Spartan's Queen, who made a good impression in what looked a very strong maiden at Leopardstown won by Tanaza. That winner is trained by Dermot Weld, who runs the newcomer SIMANNKA here. She's by Mastercraftsman and the first foal of a winning mare who is closely related to the brilliant Sinndar. She'll get further in time but this will do for starters. Wreckless has done nothing wrong but looks exposed and may have to wait for a nursery.
