Verdict

Severus, six times a winner in Germany, travelled to Galway from Newmarket in July and almost came away with the spoils but was beaten by Beau Satchel. That was only his fourth start for new connections and he'll make a bold bid to go one better. CANARY ROW had been threatening to win all summer and finally did so on heavy ground at Listowel so a 3lb rise is hardly likely to put the brakes on and he can go in again. Best Not Argue has been hit with a 13lb rise for her victory at Gowran, which isn't a shock after she demolished her field, while Downforce will love the conditions and hasn't been beaten far over shorter trips lately. Seanie has won this twice so can't be dismissed but last year's third Master Speaker doesn't win anywhere near often enough.
