Verdict

This looks a good opportunity for SAINT ROI before he heads to better things. The County Hurdle winner was having only his fourth start over hurdles that day at Cheltenham and Grade 1 company beckons. Wonder Laish won on the Flat at Killarney in August but wasn't at his best when last in a handicap hurdle at Listowel but Chosen Mate, who won the Grand Annual over fences at Cheltenham in March, showed his versatility when scoring on the Flat at Killarney in July. Beacon Edge only lost out narrowly to Jason The Militant in a Naas Grade 2 in February and looks a smart prospect for this winter.
