Verdict
Invincible Ash won this a year ago by a neck from today's rival Santo Padre and has remained in good form with a Group 3 victory at the Curragh in June, where he had UK raiders Move In Time and Inxile behind, the obvious highlight. The runner-up is 5lb better off which should enable him to reverse the form as he's been racing over 6f this season and is better over the minimum. Last year's shock Nunthorpe winner Sole Power bounced back to land the Group 2 Temple Stakes at Haydock but he wouldn't want any more rain. He had Group Therapy behind in that latter event but David Barron's charge didn't get the best of runs and can get closer. CELERINA has been in fine form all year and is better suited than most to the minimum trip. She ran her best race so far when a close second to Margot Did in a Listed contest at Ayr last time and is progressing enough to take this.
