In depth

Verdict

Not much to go on for the first juvenile hurdle of the season with few making much impression on the level. CHARGO had a couple of reasonable runs at Dundalk for Johnny Murtagh at the turn of the year and is now in the care of Gordon Elliott. Poets Cottage has shown a hint of ability while Tory Reel showed improved form when stepped up to 1m3f at Limerick. Adhuil's short-head defeat on testing ground at Roscommon puts him in the picture in a race where the market is best monitored.
