Verdict

A market move for BEAU COLONEL would be interesting in this as Henrietta Knight's stable is beginning to fire and the five-year-old's breeding suggests he'll be much happier over fences than hurdles. Reg's Ruby won on her fencing bow at this track but was tailed off when tried at handicap company at Fontwell next time, while points winner Noble Witness has shown little under Rules so far. Catch The Rascal hinted at ability over hurdles but returns from a 10-month absence, though still looks a better bet than the disappointing Royaume Bleu.
