Verdict
Provided she enjoys a safe passage, Perle De Puce looks capable of taking this, with Horcott Bay and Lago D'Oro the only ones who look capable of mounting a challenge. The selection was still going well when tipping up at the last fence at Exeter in a race won by Supreme Serenade recently and she had also unseated prior to that at Huntingdon, so lumping on her is clearly a risky proposition. However, the fall aside, her Exeter run marks her out as the clear form choice here and if she can get around without mishap then she's the one to be on. Horcott Bay ran on to claim second in that Exeter contest, but would have been well held by the selection if both had completed. Her best hope appears to be in hoping that Perle De Puce again fails to complete. Of the others, Lago D'Oro would prefer faster ground and is a bit of a one pacer, who can make the frame but does not look good enough on her best form to be capable of winning this, and we take Perle De Puce in the hope that she completes.
