Verdict
Diamant Noir, from a good jumping family, can make a winning bow over timber, with Tisho, Island Fortress and Bobbi Rose Red seen as the main dangers. Diamant Noir has already proved one to follow, having gained bumper victories at Warwick and Haydock last season, and has by all accounts schooled well at Jackdaws Castle. She seems to handle any ground and if fit enough, is the one that they all have to beat. Tisho is by the same sire, Sir Harry Lewis, and would almost certainly have already won a hurdles contest, having been clear when falling three out at Bangor in April. Whether that has affected her confidence remains to be seen, but she too remains a mare of potential. Island Fortress is being brought along slowly and is bred to go over fences, while Bobbi Rose Red has had plenty of opportunities already and needs to brush up his jumping. Diamant Noir will not have to improve much though to make an immediate impact and gets a solid vote.
