In depth
Formwatch
Caxton Star Has run well over further but seems best at this trip as when winning at Sedgefield last time (beat Torrid Kentavr 11 lengths); solid claims if in same mood but is inconsistent.
Fireball Macnamara (IRE) Has looked useful at times, most notably when successful at Southwell; decent effort behind impressive Rob Leach last time gives him every chance. May be value against the favourite.
Javelin Completed quick hat-trick when winning Worcester handicap off mark of 95; decent effort when six lengths second to Mantusis (gave 14lb) subsequently. Has every chance again.
Breeze Home No encouragement from debut run over hurdles (pulled up); will need to improve greatly.
Imaginative Little sign of ability on two starts last term; surprising if good enough here on reappearance.
Kaikovra (IRE) Bumper winner; no surprise if running better for reappearance when pulled up.
King's Hero (IRE) Disappointing in two starts last term, having shown ability previously; best watched for the time being.
Paymaster (NZ) New Zealand-bred; British debut here and market may be best guide to chances.
Reliance Leader Makes limited appeal.
Wellow (IRE) Moderate gelding.
