In depth
Verdict
An ordinary hunter chase in which the relatively youthful FLAMING GORGE is taken to get the better of his elders. Fleur Hawes' charge took a crashing fall at Leicester last time but previous efforts in this sphere do afford him strong claims and hopefully that unfortunate tumble will not have dented confidence. He enjoys a sound record over fences apart from that latest fall and is preferred to Farmer Frank. The latter is obviously in good heart at present with two point-to-point successes on most recent outings and he also has an important course and distance success to his name. He looks sure to be a leading player, whilst the consistent if limited Sole Agent has acceptable each-way claims.
