Verdict

Tony Carroll and Lee Edwards are a formidable partnership and HUCKLEBERRY, who scored for them at Chepstow a week ago, is very well handicapped to follow up. Once rated much higher, he's been rejuvenated by a change of yard and is actually 10lb better in than for future races. Pacha D'Oudairies is another who has slipped down the weights though that's because he's still a maiden over fences after 17 starts. He showed his best form for a long time at Ludlow last month and should go well despite his big weight. Malin Head started favourite for that Ludlow event after making a winning debut over regulation fences at Folkestone but a bad mistake put him out of contention and he can do much better. The veteran Hever Road has won five times over fences at around this level and will enjoy the quicker conditions.
