Triopas completed a hat-trick at the backend of last year but hasn't been able to handle much softer ground and a rise in the weights. More Than Luck has only run once over hurdles in the past year, scoring at Fakenham on New Year's Day. He's only 3lb higher so has to be respected. Drumlee City was beaten a long way into second on that latter track last time but his stable companion Jully Les Buxy is more interesting having gained his one victory on very testing ground at Plumpton. Allthegear No Idea ran his best race for a very long time in heavy going at Lingfield but the vote goes to AMERICAN LIFE (NAP), who is rarely far away at this sort of level, will love the conditions and has a competent 7lb claimer on board.
