In depth

Verdict

Deejan has finished a well-beaten fourth in both starts over timber but better is expected on her handicap debut, but today's conditions are very different to the 2m on testing ground that Tavalu faced when he scored here in February. Earl Of Thomond has claims on last year's best form but the vote goes to SPEEDY DIRECTA. He was pulled up on his latest start but that came only three days after Milton Harris' charge had won at Hereford and this looks slightly easier, despite a 7lb rise in the weights.
