      Verdict

Warne's Way is preferred to Glinton and Mandatum. The selection drops in class having taken on Grade 1 company at Chepstow last time out and having been allocated a stiff mark of 126, it is understandable why Brendan Powell has elected to take this, rather than handicap, assignments. Glinton has to shoulder two winner's penalties but should have few problems on the surface. Course form at Towcester counts for a lot and it would be folly to immediately discount him. Mandatum was well fancied last time out and did produce a much better effort than had been seen previously over timber. It remains to be seen as to whether he can build upon that improvement. Toryt has to be watched in the market on debut for Carl Llewellyn. Madam Blaze was sent off at big odds on debut and may be worth a look when tried over further. Past Entertainer has struggled with easier tasks whilst Tooka is exposed as plating class. Not a lot to go upon but Warne's Way looks to have most ticks in the right boxes and secures the nod.
