Verdict

Quipe Me Posted has shown promise in both starts so far and Jonjo O'Neill's gelding should be thereabouts again but he may have to settle for minor honours behind WISHFULL THINKING, who gets the vote with National Obsession rated the best of the rest. The selection was a point-to-point winner in Ireland before making a promising debut for Philip Hobbs when finding just Hayes Princess too good at Hereford in February. A reproduction of that form may well suffice but he is open to improvement and can go one better today. Anything trained by Nigel Twiston-Davies has to be respected and his runner here, Over The Hill, is no exception having run better at Lingfield last time. John Spearing's Hideaway has run well in both starts so far and has to be considered, while Nicky Henderson's Tollishill is a newcomer that represents a yard that does well with their runners in bumpers so the son of Sadler's Wells has to be respected. National Obsession made a pleasing debut for Venetia Williams when chasing home Zarrafakt at Folkestone in November and he rates the main threat to the selection Wishfull Thinking.
