Verdict

The well-handicapped RINCE DONN is the most tentative of selections. Roger Curtis' charge has not been flying of late but as a result he is now 10lbs lower than his Folkestone win in January. Soft ground suits and if he can stay on the bridle for most of the race he should come out on top. Beauchamp Viking fell last time at Wincanton but is proven around this testing circuit, a comment that doesn't really apply to the out of form The Walnut Tree whose form here has not always shone. Reelwill ran well in a better race at Southwell and he comes here in better form than most of her rivals. Handtheprizeover has top weight to carry but his second to McQueen at Huntingdon, albeit beaten 10 lengths, means he commands plenty of respect with that run under his belt.
