Verdict
Emmasflora is the pick here ahead of Martovic, Elegant Eskimo and Gordon Highlander. The latter was still going well when unseating her rider at Wincanton on her last outing in April and should pick up a race or two, but the trip and absence will both count against her today surely. Emmasflora is fit from a run at Market Rasen three weeks ago when only lack of peak fitness denied her a win as she failed to last out on the run-in. This slight drop back in trip will be in her favour, and any more rain would be a plus factor as well. Martovic was only just touched off at Bangor last time but that was over 20 furlongs, and her style of running suggests that she needs every yard of that distance. Elegant Eskimo won a point-to-point over three miles so is best watched here on her debut under rules, and for the winner we return to Emmasflora.
