Verdict

After looking promising in a couple of starts over hurdles SAMURAI WAY was blameless for his fall last time so is given a chance to fulfil expectations in this Two Mile Novice Hurdle with the consistent Oh No Not Harry topping the dangers while any market support for bumper winner Hidden Keel would be interesting. An appearance by Glenwood Knight would shake things up a bit but with Don McCain's runner likely to go to Haydock on Saturday we look elsewhere. The selection though shouldn't be ignored as he improved in two runs over timber before being brought down on his latest run. He looked like a winner in waiting on his penultimate run and this flat winner can get off the mark in this sphere. Oh No Not Harry takes to hurdles for the first time after an encouraging Bumper campaign. He went close to signing off that part of his career with a win and if carrying over that form now jumping he has a good chance. Hidden Keel took just two starts to get off the mark in bumpers and although he should be going close he may be lacking a little fitness. Denarius is the benchmark in this race having already scored over timber but in a contest where a few could improve past him we side with Samurai Way who with better luck may have already got off the mark in this code.
