Verdict
Dealer Del, Lord Seamus and Spring Lover look the principles in this competitive handicap chase and the narrow vote goes to Spring Lover. The selection from the bang in form Venetia Williams yard was a fair fourth on ground faster than ideal behind Helvetius at Leicester last time. The softer surface is sure to suit and off what looks a fair mark he should take all the beating. Dealer Del rates the main danger as he won well last time out when defeating Vague Idea, but all his wins have come on ground no softer than good and for that reason he is opposed. Lord Seamus is game and consistent and was a fair second behind Tino last time. But he only has one win from 20 attempts so is readily opposed. Steel Mill is well-weighted on his best form and could run well at a price as he is still unexposed, but for the winner we return to Spring Lover.
