Verdict

Most of these struggle to get their heads in front but Ullswater should go close again after seconds at Plumpton and Worcester while Bob Lewis only found one too good for the third time in four starts here on Tuesday. Meridiem is back on a winning mark but isn't really firing at present while Exiles Return's second at Exeter has done his handicap mark no favours. SPINNING WATERS tends to reserve his best for Chepstow and was third on the Flat there three weeks ago but he's not badly treated on the pick of his hurdles form and, with Robbie Dunne taking off a further 3lb, gets a speculative vote in this opener.
