    Verdict

Caragh Bridge looks the most interesting of the newcomers but those to have raced look to hold the key and preference is for CANYOUSEEME now granted a stiffer test of stamina. As this is his fourth start in bumpers, the next time that we are likely to see the selection will be over hurdles. He was outpaced when last seen at Stratford and related to several stayers, Ian Williams' gelding is fancied to make it fourth time lucky today. Silver Blondin is open to improvement on just his second racecourse start. Nicky Henderson's runner was well-fancied for a Newbury bumper back in December but was soundly beaten; off since, he will find this company easier but probably needs to improve. King Red and The Red Laird are both penalised for wins, and the feeling is that the former is the most interesting. Tom Dascombe doesn't have many in this sphere and his charge was a surprise winner last time out on his debut at Chepstow. He is to be respected, but as a son of King's Best the jury will be out about this stiff track. Only The Best, a winning point-to-pointer, and Persian Gates, a runner who has shown a semblance of ability, are others to consider, but it is Canyouseeme who can take the top prize.
