In depth
Verdict
Cush Jewel has been consistent enough to warrant support ahead of Who Cares Wins and Venguera. Cush Jewel won with a bit in hand on his only visit here the time before last, the key being the shorter trip. Stepped up in distance at Carlisle three weeks ago, he was found wanting for stamina and is definitely more at home over today's sort of trip. This ex-Irish performer still has scope and is the one to beat. Veneguera in contrast has never won over this short a distance and is a bit high in the handicap at present. Who Cares Wins is relatively lightly raced and has been off three months. The rest are even worse and Cush Jewel, with plenty going for him, will be hard to beat.
