Verdict

This looks a Galway warm-up for EASY GAME, runner-up in the Plate a year ago. He's completed a hat-trick since reappearing in April and should continue the winning run though Notebook is only rated 6lb less. A dual Grade 1 winner in his novice days, he hasn't quite made the expected progress but is still a high-class performer on his day as he showed when beating Samcro 10 lengths in a Navan Grade 2 in November. Hardline is useful when in the mood but has a lot of ground to make up on the principals on official ratings.
