Quirt Evans, who ran well when placed here in April, disappointed at Cork next time but was second when favourite at Wexford on Friday. Glory For Molly looked a likely future winner when runner-up at Cork but has run poorly in subsequent starts. Optional Mix easily won a point at Fairyhouse and was going on at the finish over 2m3f on her hurdles debut at Clonmel so this looks more like her trip. Some Venture made too many mistakes when not beaten far over the track and trip but failed to stay 3m at Tipperary on Thursday and finished tailed off. The four-year-old SILVERTOWN deserves a change of fortune after two fine runs at Downpatrick and looks the one to beat.
