In depth

Verdict

Native Palm was receiving 7lb from REGAL D'ESTRUVAL when they occupied the places behind the shock winner Venture Lazarus at Galway in July and Jim Culloty's charge can reverse the form on these terms and gain his first chasing success. Uncle Taffy was in cracking form over timber earlier in the year and though he has run very poorly on his two starts over fences he is expected to do better as is Arch Rebel, who didn't enjoy the very testing ground at Ballinrobe last time. Hans Crescent was fortunate to be left in second place behind Lucky William at Listowel but it was still a very good run in first-time blinkers and he looks a threat along with Mayo Mystique, who will have come on for her chasing debut at Sligo.
