PAGAN MAGIC scored over the C&D in heavy ground in January and is 1lb lower in the weights after some moderate efforts. A recent run on the Flat should have put him straight for this poor contest and he can complete the double. Matchbook won over timber at Cork in August and though his efforts over fences have been far from successful he shouldn't be written off just yet. Isourbell has jumped well enough in her three starts over the bigger obstacles and begins her handicap career from what looks a fair mark. She may prove the main threat though it's difficult to rule anything out in such a low-grade affair in testing conditions.
