Ballycahane had shown potential over hurdles before making his chasing bow in the race won by the potentially top-class Douvan at Navan. He was a 100/1 chance that day but didn't run badly and will have come on for the experience. Irish Bulletin was behind and looks held but KING BLUE, who won only once over hurdles, has always run well in testing conditions. He's also come up against very useful opposition in his two starts over fences and can land this moderate contest. Rightback Atya looked one to follow when scoring over timber at Sligo in very heavy going but was never travelling when pulled up in a Cork handicap next time and makes his chasing bow.
