In depth

Verdict

Craic Eile won this in 2021 and is slowly dropping to a winnable mark. ROYAL EAGLE reappeared after a long break to land a Kilbeggan handicap and has continued in fine form, finishing a close third in a Galway handicap last time. That could be good enough for this and he holds Red Ball Of Fire on that run. Hearts Are Trumps bounced back to score at Ballinrobe but will be 11lb higher as he was ridden by a claimer that day. Dixie Flyer was returning from a long break when a close fifth at Killarney last month and looks best of the remainder though Cheltenham winner Contrapposto ran well on the Flat last week.
