In depth

Verdict

Present From Dubai has yet to reproduce his hurdling form over fences and Juge Et Parti is having a first run over the larger obstacles. Drakes Well has won a point, however, and didn’t run over hurdles until earlier this year. Gateway To Europe has yet to finish out of the frame in chases but Quartz Du Rheu needs softer conditions and No Anxiety is returning from a break. Big Nasty looks more exposed than most so this can go to THE NEWEST ONE, whose latest second at Warwick was franked when the winner followed up in a better race at Ayr.
