In depth

Verdict

Extra Bold has only had three runs since joining Emma Lavelle and should be ideally suited by prevailing conditions. He'll be tough to beat if repeating the level of his November success over Sir Winston in a decent handicap chase. However, he is not always guaranteed to run his race and preference is for WILLANDRICH, up 9lb for a stylish success at Leicester last time on only his third venture over the larger obstacles. Trip and ground are ideal for the Williams' gelding, with further improvement anticipated. El Zorro will get involved if not 'bouncing' after an excellent reappearance from a lengthy absence, while Nautical Approach has each-way claims.
