Verdict

Fidux hasn’t won for a while and never over a trip this far. Organdi didn’t get far in this last year and Amateur was pulled up but Ruthless Article defied odds of 50/1 to finish second, though is still 4lb higher. Gordon Elliott’s pair, The Abbey and Definite Plan, can’t be left out of calculations but Captain Tommy is 7lb wrong in the weights and Easkey Lad will be carrying 12lb overweight. Jaytee has shot up the weights and Coeur Serein is hard to catch right but Cap Du Nord is more than capable of this sort of mark and Twig has developed into a decent staying hurdler. The latter won here in May but all of his wins over fences have come in small fields. KINONDO KWETU has to concede weight all round but is 6-8 over fences and 2-2 around here. He thrives on good ground so, as long as the rains stay away, should be thereabouts again.
