      Verdict

      MAID OF MILAN did well to win at Newton Abbot as she blew the start. She is 7lb higher here but James Bowen's claim takes care of that. Shine Away won at Cartmel before finishing second at Hexham last month and looks the danger, though Tara Mist ran well on her chasing bow at Perth in May. Armedandbeautiful was second over hurdles here in June but has shown little in three runs over the larger obstacles. Thgirlfrommilan and Timon's Tara have something to prove at present.
