In depth

Verdict

Billy Twyford is on a hat-trick after victories at Wetherby and Fontwell but he'll be doing well to win this off his new mark. The Weatherman hasn't been seen since winning over 2m here last June but runners from his yard rarely arrive under-cooked. Lord Grantham and Trip The Light could both figure from near the foot of the weights while Bygones Sovereign was still in contention when falling at Wincanton. Creekside and One Lucky Lady have the past form to figure but so does JETNOVA and it's Alan King's eight-year-old who gets the vote as he won't mind the drop in distance having gone close in a couple of jumpers' bumpers on the Polytrack over the winter.
