In depth
Verdict
Theatrebar may be the senior runner here but won off this mark at Worcester last summer and was back on-song at Wetherby in March. He would have been the selection here were it not for the fact that he’s never really sparkled on this track. Myplaceatmidnight can be forgiven a rare failure at Ayr while Wincanton third Silver Kayf has claims if the cheekpieces work a second time. FORECAST wasn’t far behind Paisley Park at Aintree in the autumn and won later at Lingfield. He turned in a shocker here in March but has a good chance in this if he can put that behind him. A run at Perth last month should have blown away any cobwebs in Curious Carlos but he’ll need to stage a revival to take advantage of a lenient mark and Sir Ivan is an infrequent winner.
