Verdict

With Ascot runner-up Cobblers Dream standing his ground, all of his rivals will have to carry more than their allotted weight. THE COB is only 2lb out of the handicap, however, and proved his well-being with a third over hurdles at Sandown. A Grade 2 winner over the smaller obstacles, he hails from a yard that’s going well. On My Command has won three times over timber but was well behind Cobblers Dream in the Lanzarote at Kempton at the start of the year. Sholokjack is interesting having won a point and two hurdles and none of the others can be ignored in what could be a decent novices’ handicap.
